A snowy day. After a beautiful weekend outside. Slow start on the snow today... but 11am it was pretty blustery. By 2pm we couldn't see the ground. Is was a weird day for time. Maybe because breakfast was so late. Pancakes with homemade strawberry sauce for breakfast. A little sugar, a little water, lots of strawberries and immersion blender. Quick and yummy!
Timer used to juggle playtime and a much needed deep clean under the fridge and stove. 20Min clean- 20 minutes play. Went pretty well.
Green beans and mashed potatoes for lunch. (they requested that specifically) Prayers for Daddy at lunch to have a safe drive home. He couldn't make it, so we'll see him tomorrow. Glad he is safe and warm. Popcorn and their cherished prizes from yesterday's church Family Fun day- mini-bottles of gatorade. They drank gatorade and opted to save the popcorn for tomorrow. Needless to say- they peed a lot today. :)
A new duplo tower today- with a massive slide.
Wrestling, racing and chasing galore- while I sat on the couch and sang a silly song with the guitar about our day. They would tell me what to sing about next.
Green things growing inside, while the birds were trying to find something to eat in the snow.
Merry-go-round “dwing” rides, all bundled in the blanket. Anytime L wants a push she has to spell her name first. And we're working on the 's' sound. Kids talking all the time about what they will do at G'ma and G'pa Sup's the next time they go there... which can't come soon enough for them!
And a few other things just because I'm on a roll and who knows when I'll get back here. Started reading The Screwtape Letters for Sunday morning class. One of my favorite books. Didn't make it to the homeschool convention. We were sick. Sick enough that I didn't want to miss naps and drag coughing, drippy nosed kids in public. I went back and added some photos for the last post. And now since I am still sick. I should go to bed early. Good night.
