It's not the sun that sets, but the earth that turns away.
That thought is running through my head.
"Oh, the sun is setting." No, actually it's not.
Our part of the earth is turning away.
How we so quickly despair in the dark winter days.
How quickly we forget that it is fleeting.
It's only a matter of time before our part of the earth tilts back.
Tilts back toward the sun. Toward the light. Away from darkness.
The days are already getting longer.
Don't lose hope. Don't turn away and look into the darkness.
Mercies are new every morning.
Joy comes in the morning.
Great is your faithfulness.
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. " - Lamentations 3:22-23
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." - Romans 15:13
One who doesn't change. One constant in uncertain weather- "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." -Hebrews 13:8
