Pride is concerned with who is right. Humility is concerned with what is right.

Not what I was going to do this morning...
I suspected this for a while now...
and here it is...
maybe a culprit for drippy noses and sore throats...
I always wanted to redo this bathroom... never been fan of tile...
well at least I have a differet project to occupy him with...
this is something that needs to get done before the cold snap... leaking where the porch part meets the house... this was a present from this last spring...
Under the tile on the walls, mold on both sides of the sheet rock.
Under the floor tile... mold and the subfloor is soaked through to the first layer.
So I spent the last hour attacking that...
The toilet, washer and dryer will have to come out. Sigh.
Currently I'm thankful for warmish weather (so windows can be open) and that this work area is blocked off by a baby gate.
A moment from today I wanted to share.
It is so fun to see them enjoy each other's company...
She zones in on him where ever he is...
Elijah is reading to her in his own language... which apparently she understands.
Reading to eachother is something we do a lot of around here...
especially before bed... even us grown-ups...
Lydia gives it a thumbs up! :) (she's a thumb-sucker!)
Still here, but just no time for blogging. That cold snap made me realize how much I still need to get done before the snow flies. So until next time!
"Rhetoric is often more valued than truth."

"Anyone can carry his burden, however heavy, until nightfall.
Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day.
Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down.
And this is all that life really means."
Robert Louis Stevenson
Take therefore no thought for the morrow... (Matthew 6:34)
Give us this day our daily bread. (Matthew 6:11)
...As thy days, so thy strength shall be. (Deuteronomy 33:25)
I found this combination in Passion & Purity by Elisabeth Elliot. So many good things in there about trusting God. This combination struck me... especially as I feel like some days I can't make it (sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely) until bed time... but reading those verses with that quote... cultivated new life within me. There is a website called My One Word. It is where you choose a word, one word, that you are led to by God. And that word is your focus for the year. I have found mine... "daily". Living each day as the words quoted above describe... living this day, not thinking about yesterdays or tomorrows, but about today.
Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me."
Luke 9:23 (NIV)
