parking garage...

He likes his cars and trucks. And for his birthday I was scoping out parking garages I could buy online... but they were all just a bit too expensive. And so enter duct tape, cardboard box, imagination and a few other miscellaneous items. There has been some serious play time going on...

and we've added more since these pictures this morning...
i'm having fun. he's having fun. good times.

11/17/11

someone turns 2 tomorrow...

someone else turned 32 on Tuesday...
someone else has 2 teeth... and is working a few more...

and this someone is thankfully not too tired today.
we've been on a crazy schedule lately... as in no schedule... weird nap times, no nap times, teething baby girl and little boy, a little boy who just wants someone to play with him, meals to be made, laundry to be done, house to be kept somewhat tidy... I've been a little frantic and stretch lately. But there have been good moments amidst all of this craziness. Like cardboard forts and car ramps. A little sister who laughs outloud at her brother's silly antics. A big brother who is trying to play with his sister and share toys (however it's usually things she shouldn't have- the things she could choke on- sigh... but he's trying and I'm doing my best to not ruin his goodwill). A little boy who is very interested in words and saying them now. Meals successfully made (seriously- meal planning and executing is high stress for me- especially with crying babies in the background). Birthdays to celebrate and people to give thanks for. Listening to Phil Joel's "God Watching Over you" and dancing with our made up actions for the words. Through gestures, "sit" and "more" realizing that my son was requesting me to sit at my sewing machine and make him more magnetic letters for the fridge. Hearing E ask L "you ok? k?" A few random cuddle times in the green chair, which has made it's home in the kitchen/craft area.
... and so much more...
