Thank you for all the comments! We are so excited to have her here in person. She is the cutest little girl... and little she is! We had a guest that said while holding her, "She is literally a hand full." And for him it was true. Today, Lydia and I are chilling in the hospital again. Haven't received the official word as to when we'll be going home. This time around I'm feeling much better, much sooner. But I'm content right now to soak up as much of this restful time as I can. Elijah is keeping G'ma Sup busy... and they are getting along just grand. They've been here each day to visit. I still don't think he understands... but once she's home, he'll get the picture. :)
So I'm going to work on compiling all the pictures we've taken so far and get a Picasa web album up... maybe today... maybe not... we'll see how many naps I'm going to take. :)

what we've been up to...

hanging out in the bus... it's the ultimate fort!
spending lots of time outside... mowing lawn, working on the bus (as in Dallas is doing a complete revamp of the interior), hanging laundry exploring the yard... the fresh air has done us all good! especially this little guy. it's making naptime and bedtime much easier.

finishing projects...

and starting new ones...

and finishing them too...

I think the "nesting" has begun hardcore. :)

Planting a garden!

Planted very little this year... one row of beans, 2 rows of sugar snap peas, 1 row of carrots, strawberries, 2 rows of onions, a small patch of spinach, and 2 pumpkin mounds. I'm debating a few tomato plants, but I think they will be more work than I want for this year. I just happy to have all that in!

Neighbors tilled the garden for me! She offered to till up the whole space, but I need to get rid of a lot of rocks first and there is no need cause I'm not going to plant that much. Maybe next year or this fall. I have dreams of doing lots of flowers and bulbs on the far end.

He had to sit and watch... otherwise he was pulling my stakes and walking all over the planted spots... watch and learn for now, so some day he can help! :-)

Done planting, just in time for the evening rain.

Mother's Day

A lovely day despite having to stay home from church because of my shingles. I'm supposed to stay away from those with weaker immune systems- which are generally the elderly, babies, and cancer patients. All of those can be found at church. So home I stayed. I did manage to take in bible study time with Dallas's class. He has set up a webcam where you can watch and hear what is going on. It came in handy today. Now he just has to figure out how to broadcast services! I did manage to rest, shower, and my wonderful husband brought home lunch, supper and some goodies! It was so nice to not have to cook- definitely a treat!
Thank you for all the well wishes, encouragement. Like I said before, they are pretty minimal compared to what I hear they can be. However, my small patch can cause me to catch my breath every once in a while. It's weird how the pain comes and goes. I've for the most part continued on as normal... chores, daily routine, tasks. Sometimes I admit I'm probably doing more than I should... like planting a garden... but there is such a strong urge to get things done when the opportunities present themselves. Sleeping can be a bugger, but that is all mixed in with being pregnant and having to get up a lot during the night to pee. :) Only 14 days to go now!

Hmmm...

It seems my health issues with this pregnancy just won't end... I have shingles now. Thankfully the blisters are only a small patch, the pain and itching has been minimal and I was able to see the doctor today and get a prescription to help get rid of them. Also, very thankful that this won't affect Lydia and we have enough time to get these under control before she arrives. Thankful that Elijah was old enough to already have his chicken pox vaccine... so I don't have to worry about him being sick as well. Thankful for my neighbor who's bringing supper over tomorrow.
Definitely feeling tired and beat down right now. Trying to stay optimistic... but some days it's just harder than others. Some times a good cry is in order to let it all out and start fresh.
And a cheerful note, my tulips bloomed today... the sun was warm and the day was so pleasant outside. The fresh air was good.

{Last year's picture, but I figured it would work again... they are the yellow ones that bloomed today}

3 wks and a day...

That's what we have left here until we get to see you and find out all about you and how you'll fit into our family.
That reality for me is sinking in with doctor visits each week now {at the last visit we decided to spread them out... so only one more before you come!}. I haven't bought a single diaper pack, the crib isn't moved up. I did manage to rummage through Elijah's NB clothes, so I at least have sleepers and onesies out. But that will all be easy things to accomplish. At least you have a bed, a dad and a mom you love you and who have been through this before so they are much more prepared than they were with your brother. Speaking of your brother... he still has no clue you're coming. He does like to poke my belly a lot- sorry about that. He thinks my outie belly button is really fun to push.
Ok, so my job in the next 3wks- rest, enjoy the quiet moments, soak up time with your dad and brother, buy some diapers, move the crib up, wash your clothes, and trust that God will get us through the adjustment phase.
You're job in the next 3 wks: keep growing and if you don't mind - ease up on the kicking. :)
