First things first...
REAL: Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
CULTURED: There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. John Holmes
:) The games at the Coliseum were scheduled to begin at three o'clock sharp, so Caesar decided to call his friend, Brutus, to see if he wanted to go. Brutus replied, "Sure! What time you want to go?" Caesar replied, "At two, Brute!"
REAL: This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
CULTURED: You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you. John Bunyan
:) A chipmunk walked into a hardware store because he was redoing his bar. He asked the clerk where he could get one of those table tops that opens and shuts on a hinge. The clerk wasn't sure so he asked, "You mean the kind those blue jays have?" Chipmunk replies, "Yeah, those closing counters of the bird kind!"
God prospers us not to raise our standard of living, but our standard of giving.

Stewardship Thought for the Week
John the Baptist....what a great example of one of God's stewards! He actively put to use all the gifts God gave him. So it is with us as! All the things we think, do, and say in faith (apart from sin), are actions of a steward of God.
